The Scientific Research Project Unit of Sakarya University has approved for funding the project entitled "Development of Sustainable Strip Casting Process via Bio-Derived Binder Obtained from Food Waste", which will be carried out by Derya Kırsever, faculty member in the SAÜ Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Department, with our team leader Fatih Erdem Baştan serving as a researcher.
Zehra Ayhan, faculty member in SAÜ Food Engineering Department, and Celal Caner, faculty member in SAÜ Chemistry Department, will participate as researchers on the project, which is in the scope of the Collaborative Research Project. In this project, organic materials from food waste will be investigated as potential binders for ceramic processing following several optimizations of the strip casting method.
